In order to achieve a lifetime of healthy skin the first step is to truly understand what it is your skin needs. Our skin is the largest and most complex organ of the human body, made up primarily of two major layers; the epidermis and the dermis: Each layer has several different cells essential for our skins health.The dermal layers are responsible for the formation of collagen and elastin as well as our defense support systems. Collagen works hand-in-hand with elastin in supporting the body’s tissues. Basically, it gives body tissues form and provides firmness and strength. Elastin gives the same body tissues much need flexibility, and it helps skin to return to its original position after stretching or contracting. The dermal layers are where the principle ageing process takes place! The epidermis is the outermost layer of the skin responsible for generating and maintaining the skins barrier defense! The PRFX lines of products are developed based on the knowledge of how substances interact and how they affect these different layers of the skin.
